Cold-Chain Shipping: Why Temperature Control Matters
Lyophilized (freeze-dried) compounds are generally stable at room temperature for short periods, but extended exposure to heat can accelerate degradation and reduce the effective shelf life of a batch.
To minimize this risk, every temperature-sensitive order is packed with insulated lining and, where required, gel ice packs sized for the expected transit time. Packaging is tested seasonally to ensure it performs in both summer and winter conditions.
Orders are dispatched same-day for purchases placed before 2pm on business days, reducing total transit time and the cumulative thermal exposure of the product.
On arrival, we recommend immediately transferring lyophilized vials to a -20°C freezer, protected from light, until they're needed for reconstitution. Reconstituted solutions should be used within the timeframe specified on the product's technical data sheet.
If a shipment arrives visibly compromised — for example, with damaged insulation or a broken vial — contact our support team immediately so we can arrange a replacement.
